An afternoon in Methuen, Massachusetts

Well, we arrived in Methuen today, with a few hours to kill before our 8am delivery appointment. So, we took a short walk to grab a bite to eat and mail a letter. Saw the Nevins Memorial Library (established 1883) and the Spicket River Falls Dam. It has been years since I was up North in the fall...the colors of the fall foliage are even more spectacular than I remember.

I do miss New England. Your photos make me want to go back. The picture of the falls is cool -- what's the thing in the middle of the rapids at the base of the falls? I'm thinking Blake in a barrel maybe...?

The fall colors really are beautiful...but when the snow comes I know I won't want to be driving on these roads.

Actually, looking at that picture closely it almost looks like somebody in a kayak coming down there...nice observation. No, Blake is safely tucked into his bunk after braving the New York traffic today. I may get my chance tomorrow...for now, I'm just hoping to get a good night's sleep because we have an early delivery in the Bronx tomorrow.
